Stay Tru did not happen overnight; it was slowly developed from over a decade of creative evolution and real-life experiences.

Before Stay Tru became a shop, it was a dream carried while building brands for other people, raising a family on her own, learning new tools, and finding a way through every season of life.

I am Trish, also known as Tru. I am an artist, creator, mother, provider, and the firstborn in LA from my Puerto Rican roots. Stay Tru is where my culture, creativity, resilience, and story finally have room to live.

Some of my pieces are apparel, some are wall art or merch. Some begin as sketched or hand-painted ideas, and some are digital experiments.

This brand is for the creatives, the hustlers, the dreamers, the artists, the culture lovers, and the ones creating their own path.

This is art you can wear or frame. Culture you can carry. A reminder to stay creative, stay resilient, and to Stay Tru to yourself.

The heart with headphones has been a part of my art since I was around 14. I drew it, painted it, made stencils from it, and carried it through different stages of my creative life. To me, it means listen to your heart and move to the rhythm of your own beat.

The name Tru came from my own name, Patricia, which became Trish growing up in California. Over time, I started playing with the sound of Trish during my graffiti or signature moments to “Tru-ish,” a way of saying I was learning to be true to myself before it became simply Tru. Over time, Tru became more than a nickname or a signature on my creations. It became a reminder to stay grounded, stay creative, stay true, and stay connected to who I am.
